![]() ![]() This version was censored and had fanservice removed to be more family friendly when it was released for the Dreamcast. The original DOS version is better because it isn't censored. Originally posted by Tiago:Well, i have the Original version and i enjoy it very much, now with the Refine version i was wondering if it's worth buying it or if the Original is still better. :PĪlso they're refining the translation as they go along.I'd like Charisma and Refinement back, myself, along with more than only 8 characters for names, dangit, but it's still improving. I like the original SoftEgg translation a lot, a LOT, better, because it's so much more natural and funny, but it's a pain in the butt to get old games working on Windows 7 or later, so go with Refine simply because _you can actually play it_. Oh, and it's also made by GAINAX, obviously.) (In case you're wondering what the beep I'm talking about, it's called Petite Princess Yucie/Puchi Puri Yuushi and it's.I dunno if whoever's reading this would like it, but it's vaguely based off the PM franchise in general, has weird colourful characters, some dry sarcastic humour and random part-time jobs, along with not one but FIVE snarky butler-ish characters. This is gonna sound like the weebest thing ever to say, but one reason I enjoy the voice acting is that the person who plays Cube is the same voice actor as in the anime! And Cube in that was awesome, so, it's a voice actor I already know I like. Since it doesn't appear that you can type out the names (only use the cursor on the letters), this doesn't seem to be a feature. (pps, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the voice acting!)Īlmost forgot: It seems there isn't a way to get the default character (in the original, if you held down a lot of letter keys for a little while, you would get the default character named Olive). (ps, I don't consider not being able to cheat a downside-it made it way too easy and was way too much of a temptation) when you give the ring back, it has a certain stat has lowered rather than raised (it still raises it though, no worries!) Not really a MIS-translation but certain stats have been translated differently (still pretty much mean the same thing):Ĭleaning=CLN/LDR (I don't know what LDR means) These kind of mistranslations seem to be purely asthetics though if you check the stats, you'll see. When she wins, it says that she was beaten by the enemy (I think it means to say that she HAS beaten the enemy). when she dodges or blocks an attack, it's written as if the enemy has "skillfully" dodged or blocked hers. There are some mistranslations in this version. The endings that involve the RPG mode take longer obviously. You will know who has done this because the endings achievements will all be unlocked in a short period of time when it requires 4-8 hours of play PER ending. It's likely possible to derp around in the pirated dos version, and load the save game in the Refine version to achieve the same effect. The Refine versions use the same save games the original games. However, and I'm going to be raise a "do not do this" sign. There are still traces of it in the code, but there's no way to access it. The debug menu was taken out of the Japanese Refine version to begin with. The leaked english DOS version had it because it was incomplete. ![]() The debug menu was never supposed to be in the game in the first place. I miss messing around with the different items tbh, but that would basically enable people to save right before the end and cheat for all the ending acheivements, which kills the entire point of playing.that and isn't really acheiving it, lmao.
